Those who cannot afford the new market — families, artists, workers, migrants — are forced to leave the city they built with their own lives. Born to Live in Berlin follows the protagonists of this struggle over time: tenants organising to avoid eviction, activists occupying streets and buildings, collective housing projects trying to imagine an alternative.
